In conclusion, those are my thoughts about everything involving the product. It was the only thing I disliked about the item itself.
With the product I purchased, everything was pretty fine except for about four decent sized rips on the VHS box, especially the front cover, but that is okay with me. In the end, it could have at least been nominated in these three categories. Many aspects of the film were worthy of recognition such as the underrated John Turturro for Best Supporting Actor, the Coen brothers with Best Original Screenplay, and Best Score.
In my opinion, this was one of the best movies of that year and it should have earned multiple Academy Award nominations, if not win a few. As for Miller's Crossing, the Coens had successful results with this critically-acclaimed film as time went on, but it still did not deserve to flop at the box-office back in 1990. Based on what the Coen brothers have done with such movies as Blood Simple, Barton Fink, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, and No Country For Old Men, they have proven many times over that going in different directions with the subject matter often creates cinematic masterpieces. By watching the movie, you can tell that the filmmakers once again put their own style into this cult-classic, thus creating something special unlike any other film of this specific category. It is also an extremely original and unique film of the gangster genre from the lengendary directing team. I bought this item because I think that it is simply a very good movie. Miller's Crossing is a really decent gangster film by the Coen brothers.
